Diceline Fernandes – Praia Melão JC/São Tomé e Príncipe_ENG

My name is Diceline Nozolino dos Santos Paquete Fernandes. I am 43 years old and live in Ribamato – São Tomé. I am a missionary and give service as the vice-Center Head.

I was guided to the World Messianic Church of São Tomé and Príncipe in September of 2005 by my sister.

The reasons that brought me to the Church were; breast pains and fibroids, which made it impossible for me to have children. Every time I got pregnant, I would lose my child.

To try to solve the situation, I went to hospitals, clinics and many healer houses. I did many treatments, took a lot of medication, herbal teas, showers and other things. The doctors did not know what to do anymore. To decrease the pain, they said that to solve the breast pains I needed to have children. This was impossible due to the fibroid as every time I got pregnant I had a miscarriage . Everything was going wrong for me and I was spending a large amount of money.

It was in this profound suffering that my sister, touched with my situation, invited me to know the Church, which at the time was at Riboque, in the capital.

I was kindly received by the missionary who, after listening to me attentively, guided me the following

  • Receive 10 Johrei per day

  • Keep the flower of light at home

  • Participate in the services

  • Clean the worship hall, the toilets, etc.

I worked hard to follow the guidance obediently and, three months later, the pain I felt in my breasts decreased considerably, which made me realize that I needed to materialize my donation of gratitude for the first blessings received and to receive the Ohikari. In the ceremony to receive the Ohikari in the 29th of January of 2006, I became a full member to better serve in the Divine Work.

After receiving the Ohikari, I focused on the suffering of other people and, in a short amount of time, I saw my problems gradually being solved.

Miraculously, the breast pains that made my life a living hell, disappeared without a trace. The miscarriages also stopped and, today, I have four children!

The testimony of faith I would like to share with you is related to  the blessings from God and Meishu-Sama .

I used to work inside a market, selling goods. As time went by, people who sold at the market started selling outside of it. Since I sold goods inside the market and my business was not moving forward, I decided to follow the steps of other people and started to sell goods while walking around the city. This was a good decision for me as I was satisfied and the sales went well. Despite that, my family members, especially my sisters, were not satisfied with me and gathered to find a less tiring way for me to sell my goods and make a living.

In that meeting, a lot of ideas came up but the one that stood out most was for me to open a stall to sell goods at it. But when the moment came to discuss the monetary value needed to open and maintain the stall, they all said  they did not have money at the time. As the will of God was present, one of the participants said:” I also don’t have money but, since I want to help you get out of this situation, I will find a way!”.

One day, while selling, I crossed paths with that sister. Talking about the meeting, she said that she would give me a certain amount to make a business in the zone that I live (Ribamato). I said that this amount wasn’t enough to open a stall and she replied: “My sister, isn’t your goal selling food? In front of our mother’s house, there is a stall that is not in use. Put a table in front of it and buy bananas, vegetables, a bit of dried fish, make coconut sweets, ice cream, sit down and try it. If it doesn’t work out then go back to the capital!”.

The days went by and I continued my sale in the capital waiting for the amount that my sister had promised. One day, I crossed paths with her again and she told me:” I brought this amount to pay for electricity. Yet, as I promised to help you I want you to take it. I hope that EMAE (Electricity company) doesn’t cut my electricity!”. I took the amount, separated a donation of construction and the tithe. With the other part I bought a few products and continued selling in the streets of the city.

It was a blessing in disguise! The Coronavirus pandemic arrived in São Tomé. The government and the municipality of Água Grande moved the stall owners from the two markets in the center of the capital to the new market in Bôbô-fôrro, with the hopes of decreasing traffic in the capital. I had no choice but, to accept God’s will!

I started selling in the same place that I live, as the cost of transportation to the new market is very  high and the sellers that were transferred complain  their revenue has been decreased.

Thank God and the Messiah Meishu-Sama, I started with coconut sweets, vegetables, bananas and salted fish. Today I am selling all kinds of food and drinks at the stall.

With the social distancing and lockdown declared by the government and the ending of activities, my husband was unable to carry out his mission rigorously. This complicated our financial situation. Worried about the probelm, we talked about it and he said that we have to accept God’s will and be grateful for everything. Hearing that, I felt relieved.

With this commitment and determination from him, I continued giving service and, thank God and the Messiah Meishu-Sama, my husband gained the permission to fulfill his mission during these critical times with no major obstacles. Despite the trying times, we  have had good moments and no financial problems that could threaten our daily life!

I learned that everything depends on the fulfilment and obedience to our commitment to God and the Messiah Meishu-Sama.

My commitment is to continue fulfilling my mission without losing the rope of salvation!

I thank God and the Messiah Meishu-Sama  for the permission to know this wonderful path of salvation together with my ancestors!

Thank you very much!
