My name is Momed Hossumane Ebraimo and I am 28 years old. I am a full member and give service at the Johrei Center Central. I was guided to the World Messianic Church of Mozambique by my mother, Fátima Eugenia Capela. The reason that brought me to the church was disease as I am asthmatic.
I was guided to the church in 2006. The first time I participated in a service I found the Amatsu-Norito prayer quite weird. But as I became a member, I started liking it and I committed myself to fulfilling the basic practices of the Messianic Faith.
I enjoyed giving service at the church, especially making and distributing the flowers, which made me want to become a full member so that I could make other people happy. However, my parents didn’t want me to become a full member.
Since I was under age I had to listen to them. But inside me I told myself that as soon as I turned eighteen, I would do everything possible to receive the sacred Ohikari. I couldn’t receive the Ohikari as soon as I turned eighteen, however I didn’t stop giving service neither did I stop going to the church.
In 2019 I had a strong asthma attack. I took medications but it didn’t have any effect. So, I had to look for traditional medicine because, due to the asthma attacks, I wasn’t able to do my tests at the university.
In the midst of this purification I went to talk with the missionary, who listened to me attentively and asked me to give service at the Headquarters of Mozambique – which is the place of greater light – and that I should make an effort to do the donation to receive the Ohikari.
I committed myself to follow the guidance and receive Johrei. The asthma attacks were gradually decreasing and, on the 22nd of September of 2019, after waiting for 13 years, I finally received the sacred Ohikari! Thanks to the Supreme God and the Messiah Meishu-Sama! It was a special moment and I experienced many miracles in my life.
The testimony of faith that I would like to share with you is related to religious assistance.
On the day that I received the Ohikari, after coming back from church, my mom desperately called me because my niece had a cold and was losing air. I quickly went to give her Johrei! I was a bit apprehensive and I questioned if my Johrei would work. I lifted my hand to give her Johrei and she recovered after 10 minutes. She started playing as if nothing had happened, thank God and the Messiah Meishu-Sama. This was the first blessing I experienced with the practice of channeling Johrei.
In this period of the pandemic, as we can’t participate in the services physically, I have been making an effort to watch the online services through facebook. I invited the people whom I take care of so that, together, we could watch the services and pray in conjunction.
One of the people whom I invited is my sister, Maria Aissa Hossumane Ebraimo Chivulele who hadn’t being going to the church. Due to this practice, many times, my sister was the one who called me to connect and watch the service whenever I wasn’t online.
My sister, watching the services, gained the will to start going back to the church. However, she couldn’t because she didn’t have anyone to take care of her daughter as she avoided going out in this period of the pandemic. Since she really wanted to, she decided to pray at home and read the teachings of Meishu-Sama daily.
In June of the current year my niece had a strong cold. Her mother gave her medicine but it didn’t change anything. She called me to give Johrei and also told me that she stopped giving her medicine as it worsened her daughter’s condition.
We prayed together, thanking for the purification and placing everything in God’s hands. I went to her house every day to channel Johrei to her and to my niece. Once again, I experienced the miracle of being used as an instrument of the Messiah Meishu-Sama as my niece recovered completely.
With this miracle, my sister materialised a donation of gratitude, prays with the daily donation and I go to her house to take the donations to offer at the church.
My sister already started with the donation to receive the Ohikari, thank God and the Messiah Meishu-Sama!
With this testimony I learned that when we truly trust in God, placing everything in His hands and doing our best to make other people happy, we experience many miracles.
I thank God and the Messiah Meishu-Sama for using me as Their instrument!
