My name is José Manuel de Azevedo Marques. I am a full member of the church, give service at the formation center of Maputo and I am part of the moon group of the net of salvation.

I was guided to the World Messianic church of Mozambique in January 2017 by Mr Dário de Sousa, a full member of the church.

The reasons that brought me to the church were lack of spiritual peace and social conflicts created by a work problem that left me bankrupt. With a lot of dedication and by following the basic practices of faith the problems were overcome, thank God and the Messiah Meishu-Sama .

The testimony of faith  I would like to share with you is related to the importance of following the basic practices of faith.

I am an interior and decoration designer. Some time ago I worked at an emergent banking institution at which I made uniforms for the agencies and I got paid  in instalments. But in November of this year, I heard that the bank was bankrupt and it would stop all activities. The news shocked me because I didn’t have savings, as all my money was in the bank. Hence, I also went bankrupt. I contacted the bank with the hopes of trying to save some money. But I was informed that I couldn’t be paid because of the bankruptcy. I tried many times but it was all fruitless.

To complete my suffering, I wasn’t able to fulfill my obligations and was forced to leave the house where I had lived for many years. I started looking for someone to allow me to live with them or who could rent me a place . I was very humiliated and noticed that my friends pushed me away.

I used to complain a lot, to everyone and about everything. Every time I met someone, I would tell them about my problems and difficulties and asked for their help. But people were drawn away from me because I complained so much.

I started getting small jobs which gave me enough money to sustain myself and to continue giving service in the Divine Work .

Even without a house, the Supreme God and the Messiah Meishu-Sama never left me without a roof and food. I thank for this from the bottom of my heart!

For more or less two years  I have been renting a house that belongs to two ladies. One of them lost her husband and was very sad. She also felt a lot of pain in her legs and pelvis and had varicose veins, which made moving around very hard. Seeing her suffering, I asked her if I could give her Johrei. After insisting a lot, she accepted. I went to give service in her house, taking flowers of light. Whenever I got flowers, I went to do the workshop in her house and she always happily accepted.

She was happier and her pains decreased drastically. My financial difficulties intensified and there was a point where I didn’t pay the rent for nine months. I went to talk to her about the situation and she made me feel calmer by telling me that I could pay whenever I was able to.

She had to travel to Portugal to continue her medical treatment and the other lady asked me to leave the house because of my debt.

I went to talk to the minister and  told him about my purifications. After he attentively listened to me, he guided me to correct my attitude and deal with everything as a purification. It made me reflect that there were a lot of things in my life to be thankful for and  I should place my problems in God`s hands. He guided me to call Mrs Olga and to thank her for the time I spent at her house and the patience she had with me during the time that I spent there. He also said  I should continue with the basic practices of faith and the donation of gratitude.

I called Mrs Olga to tell her that I would leave the house because the other lady asked me to do so. She said I shouldn’t leave and she would send an amount from Portugal so I could pay the debt, which was enough to cover five months of rent, thanks to God and the Messiah Meishu-Sama.

She came back from Portugal and I continued giving her religious assistance; she got better. The neighbours, seeing the changes that happened to her, now ask for flowers and  Johrei, which I channel with a lot of love and gratitude.

I understood the importance of a job, not to make money but to serve the clients so they can be happy. I got jobs which enabled me to provide for myself and to pay the debt and rent. After each job, I tithe and do the donation of construction.

For the blessings received, I materialized a special donation. From this testimony of faith, I learned that when we let go of our problems and place everything in the hands of God and the Messiah Meishu-Sama  and we work towards guiding a lot of people to the church, our problems will be solved.

I am registered, I have been guiding a lot of people in front of the church’s door and the places I go to and I am intensifying the march of Johrei.

I thank the Supreme God, the Messiah Meishu Sama and my ancestors for the permission to gain a new family, which is the messianic family!
